Dr. Kuppam Chandrasekhar is a Ph.D in Biological Science from the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (CSIR-IICT), Hyderabad, Telangana, India. He has worked as a senior research fellow at SIR-IICT. He is currently working as a Research Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Yonsei University, South Korea. His main areas of research are bioenergy from waste biomass, microbial fuel cells, bihydrogen, and waste remediation technologies. He has published 43 papers in scientific journals such as (1) Bioresource Technology, (2) International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, (3) Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, (4) Waste management, (5) Journal of Biotechnology, (6) International Journal of Molecular Sciences, (7) Journal of Hazardous Materials, (8) Energies, (9) Chemosphere, and (10) Critical Reviews in Biotechnology. He has authored more than 30 book chapters. His work has been cited 2540 times with an h index of 26 and an i10 index of 36. He is a life member of the following scientific societies (1) Life member - The Biotech Research Society of India (BRSI), (2) Senior membership in Asia- Pacific Chemical, Biological & Environmental Engineering Society (APCBEES), (3) Senior member in Institute of Research Engineers and Doctors, (4) Frontiers member. He is serving as a Review Editor in Bioenergy and Biofuels. Then as a guest faculty, Department of Engineering - University of Naples Parthenope , Naples, Italy. He has also presented his work at several national and international conferences.
Dr. Satya Eswari Jujjavarapu is currently working as an Assistant professor in Department of Biotechnology at National Institute of Technology (NIT), Raipur, India. She did her M.Tech in Biotechnology and biochemical engineering from Indian Institute Technology (IIT) Kharagpur and Ph.D. in chemical engineering from IIT, Hyderabad. During her research career, she worked as a Woman Scientist for a Department of Science and Technology (DST) project at Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT) Hyderabad. She has rigorously pursued her research in the areas of bioinformatics and bioprocess and product development. She gained pioneering expertise in the application of mathematical and engineering tools in biotechnological processes. Her fields of specializations include bioinformatics, biotechnology, and process modeling, evolutionary optimization and artificial intelligence. She has more than 67 publications in SCI/Scopus indexed journals and 58 proceedings in international and national conferences. Her research contributions have received wide global citations. She has also published four book chapters and four books (currently in press) with international publishers. She completed one DST woman scientist project (22 lakhs) and is currently handling two projects, a DST-Early career research project (43 lakhs) and a CCOST (Chhattisgarh Council of Science and Technology) project (4 lakhs). She has a teaching experience of more than 7 years along with a research experience of 3 years. She published 4 books, 10 book chapters. She has conducted various short-term courses on bioprocess development, and soft computing and intelligent techniques. She has delivered invited lectures in various institutes. She visited three countries for international conferences. She has guided more than 55 B.Tech and post-graduate students and is currently supervising 6 Ph.D. students, a project assistant and 7 B.Tech students. She is an active participant in both academic and research activities. She has reviewed various research articles in 20 international journals. She is an active member of Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, The Indian Science Congress Association, Indian Institute of Engineers, Biotechnology Research Society and AMI. She has received and early career research (ECR) award by DST, IEI young engineer award, Venus Outstanding woman in engineering and DK international best faculty award.
