Raymond Burt is Professor of German at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. He completed his doctoral work in German at the University of California, Los Angeles. His research and publications focus on fin-de-Siecle Vienna, in particular the writings of Friedrich S. Krauss, a controversial folklorist in the Freudian circle.
