In this brilliant book, Simon Pearson plots our future; one full of uncomfortable possibilities governments fear to face. He takes us from today's world where cruise missile diplomacy underlines the dominance of the West to 2006 when an Islamic Alliance dares to challenge it.
Russia experiences a second revolution, across Europe the hope of the new millennium is lost in economic and policy failures, the USA leads a purposeful NATO as the de facto world policeman and a single figure emerges to unite Islam. The world staggers towards inevitable war...
Simon Pearson was born in Aberdeen in 1961. He joined the RAF as a navigator in 1980 and flew in Germany for five years on Buccaneers and Tornados before returning to the UK for a tour as an instructor. Following an exchange with the Luftwaffle on Alpha Jets near Munich he attended German Staff College in Hamburg and won the Clauzewitz Medal. His final two tours were spent as a flight commander on twelve Squadron Tornados at Lossiemouth and latterly as Military Assistant to the Assistant Chief of Defence Staff for Policy in the Ministry of Defence. He is married with three sons.
