Award-winning poet Carol Ann Duffy's first ever picture book is a delightful rhyming story about a farmyard under the sea. The subtle illustrations by Joel Stewart, prize-winner of the Macmillan Prize 2000, vividly capture this underwater world. Together, they have created an imaginative and original picture book to transport children to the magical watery depths.
Carol Ann Duffy was born in Glasgow in 1955. Her poetry publications have received many awards, including both the Forward Prize and the Whitbread Prize. Picador has published her poetry, including, most recently, Hand In Hand (ed.) and The World's Wife. Carol Ann Duffy is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. Joel Stewart graduated from Falmouth College of Arts with a first class honours degree in fine art. Joel was a prize-winner of the Macmillan Prize in 2000. He has exhibited his paintings with the Royal Society of Painters in Watercolours and designed an exhibition for Edinburgh Festival among other projects.
