Jessica Simmons writes for WI Life, membership magazine for the Women's Institute. Jessica grew up in Lincolnshire and has fond memories of baking with her grandma as a little girl which inspired a growing fascination into the origins of traditional and regional British recipes - many discovered in the archives of the Women's Institute. When she's not eating cake in the name of research, Jessica writes for various food and consumer magazines, specialising in the history of the WI and its relationship with food throughout the last century. Jessica is a member of Finchley WI and lives in London with her partner Laurence.
